Acumen Partners is a healthcare innovation consultancy that helps important ideas become enduring companies. Their practice spans commercialization, corporate development, capital and strategic transactions, and partnership strategy — guiding founders, operators, healthcare leaders, and investors across the gap between promising technology and commercial reality.

They came to me with a website that was working against that story. Over four weeks in 2026, I redesigned and rebuilt their entire web presence in Framer — strategy, design, and development, end to end.

The problem

Acumen’s previous site had three compounding problems. It was effectively invisible to search, without the structural or technical SEO foundation a consultancy depends on to be found. Its imagery was actively broken — missing photos and dead image links scattered across the site, including a broken logo sitting inside an empty black hero. And most critically, its messaging never addressed the people Acumen actually serves — the founders moving from proof-of-concept to market, the operators scaling healthcare businesses, and the investors doing deep diligence on healthcare ventures.

There was a real irony in that. Acumen’s entire practice is closing the translation gap — the space where strong innovations fail not on science but on execution. Their own website had become a translation gap: genuine expertise that nothing on the page communicated to the audience who needed to see it.

What I did

I rebuilt the site around a single persuasive narrative rather than a services brochure: the problem Acumen solves, the process they use to solve it, the people they impact, and what becomes possible with the right partner. A visitor now moves through the same argument Acumen makes in the room — most healthcare innovations don’t fail on the science; they fail on commercialization — and lands on a direct invitation to build together.

The new design leads with commanding display typography that gives the firm the authority its old site never projected, backed by editorial photography in place of the broken images that had littered the previous build. Navigation was rebuilt into a clear, numbered structure that works as well in the mobile menu as it does on desktop, and the whole site is responsive from the ground up rather than adapted after the fact.

Design and development ran side by side in Framer, which is what made the four-week timeline honest. Every design decision could be tested in the real site immediately, on real breakpoints, instead of waiting for a handoff that a project this fast could never afford. The foundations the old site lacked — semantic structure, page metadata, performance-conscious media handling — were built in from the first section rather than bolted on at the end.

What changed

The new acumen.partners shipped on schedule — four weeks from kickoff to launch, design and development included. And the numbers followed: web traffic rose 28% in the first sixty days after launch, and by day ninety it was up 47%.

Beyond the traffic, Acumen now has a web presence that matches the caliber of its advisory work: a clear narrative aimed at each of its audiences, the SEO foundation the old site never had, and a Framer build the firm can evolve quickly as the practice grows.
